Doha: The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced that about 800-metre sections of one lane in each direction on North Road near Al Kharaitiyat Interchange (N8) in Leabaib near IKEA will be closed.
The closure begins on Friday for one month.
The number of lanes will be reduced from four to three in each direction and traffic will be diverted to three lanes, which will remain open during the construction period (as shown in the map).
The temporary closure is required to carry out work on a bridge which is part of the North Road enhancement project.
Ashghal will install signs for motorists and has urged road users to abide by speed limits and follow signs to for their safety.
