New Delhi: Sketches of suspects have been prepared in the case of a seven-year-old girl’s rape in a municipal school here, police said yesterday. No headway has been made in the case despite the questioning of over 400 people.
“We have prepared some sketches on the basis of the victim’s statement and interrogated around 400 people. But we are yet to trace the rape accused,” said a police officer.
The Class 2 student was allegedly raped in a civic agency’s school in Mangolpuri in north Delhi on Thursday.
“She was discharged drom hospital on Friday,” said the officer.
A violent protest occurred outside the school and the hospital Friday as rumours spread that the girl was in a critical condition.
Five people including school principal Neelam Karwal have been suspended. IANS
