DOHA: The ninth Aljazeera Forum will take place from May 4 to 6 under the theme ‘Conflict and transformation in the Arab world’.
Decisionmakers, academicians, politicians, authors and journalists from across the world will attend.
The forum will discuss in seven sessions latest developments in the Arab world. Topics include: Media and Middle East conflicts; Despotism and the future of democracy in the Arab world; Manifestations of the conflict in the Middle East (national identity, political context, social conditions, religious and sectarian divisions, transnational armed groups); The role of economic conditions in fuelling or reducing conflicts; The Palestinian issue and the future of peace; and Armies and politics in the Arab world.The Peninsula
