Five killed in helicopter crash in Iran

TEHRAN:  Five people were killed in a helicopter crash in Iran’s southwestern province of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari on Monday, according to a local official.

The helicopter crashed in Sarteshniz village, Jafar Moradi, the governor's political and security assistant in the province, said in a statement cited by the official IRNA News Agency.

The chopper belonged to the Iranian Medical Sciences University and was on its way to help a pregnant woman, he said.

The cause of the accident was not immediately clear.
