Doha: Aspire Zone is set to launch a new column featuring health and fitness advice for families. Aimed at providing the public with a better quality of life, the column will encourage individuals to adopt healthier, more active lifestyles.
“The column will appear on the first Sunday of each month in our newspaper,” the Aspire Zone said in a release yesterday.
A selection of Aspetar and Aspire Active staff members will provide an array of simple tips that can be easily implemented into daily routines.
The article falls under Aspire Zone Foundation’s step into health programme, a fitness initiative that was launched in December 2012, which has also inspired thousands of individuals to start walking.
Abdulla Al Mohannadi, a researcher in the Health Promotion department at Aspetar, said: “The monthly advice column is another initiative that falls within the multi-faceted step into health program and has been designed to educate the community on how to live healthy, active lives. Combined with the walking programme, members of the community are now equipped to completely revolutionise their lifestyles.”
