DOHA: The Qatar Cricket Association (QCA) has planned to organise a coaching camp for women cricketers soon.
The basic purpose of the camp by the QCA is to unearth fresh talent and groom them for the future.
The QCA General Secretary, Manzoor Ahmad, while providing details about the camp, informed that the association wished to gather new faces, train them and provide playing opportunities to female players so that the QCA could popularise the game further and have a bigger talent pool for its national team.
All the women players, who have been in Qatar for the last two years or are born here or have played good cricket in their respective countries, are eligible for the selection camp.
Another condition for the aspiring players is they have not figured in any QCA organised tournament. Those who are interested in the trials may contact the QCA Office at landline number 44651514 for more details or register themselves through emails at cricqatar@gmail.com and qatarca@hotmail.com.
