DOHA: As part of its Corporate Responsibility Programme, QIIB recently hosted two groups of students from Qatar Academy on its “Professional Day”. The Qatar Academy students visited different sections of QIIB, where senior executives detailed to them the various Islamic banking operations, customer service, information systems, types of banking services, accounts managing and issues related to the issuance of cheques and other financial instruments.
QIIB Chief Executive Officer Abdulbasit Ahmed Al Shaibei personally welcomed the visiting students to the bank. He said: “The young people are the very basis of our hope. We are all relying on this generation to achieve more growth, prosperity and progress for our beloved country, Qatar.”
The Chief Executive Officer reminded the students that success is the fruit of commitment and often bears out of a strong personality. “Success can be achieved when we are always ready to give our best and gain experiences from our classrooms at different stages of education. In addition to our life experiences, practical activities as part of the curriculum have a great impact and get rooted in our minds”, he said. The students were briefed about the opportunities available at the QIIB for the qualified hands.
