Doha: To achieve prompt justice, the Public Prosecution in the State of Qatar has started implementing a system of converting words into text using artificial intelligence (AI) techniques.
This intiatives was announced as part of the Public Prosecution’s efforts to raise the efficiency of operations and continuous improvement in the services it provides in order to achieve prompt justice that the country seeks in accordance with its National Vision 2030.
The Public Prosecution also clarified that these techniques will be used in the investigation sessions as well as in writing the necessary minutes and memorandums to end the legal procedures. This will ensure that the information available during the investigation sessions and during the issuance of decisions and writing notes are converted into written texts quickly and accurately, while limiting manual work. It will contribute to speeding up judicial process and improving the accuracy and quality of information related to the functions and work of the Public Prosecution.
Public Prosecution began the experimental use of word-to-text conversion services recently in some of its offices, and this trial was met with satisfaction of a large number of users due to the level of accuracy and effectiveness. Accordingly, it was decided to start implementing this system in the Public Prosecution on a large scale.
Public Prosecution plans to continue to adopt advanced technological solutions in its work, foremost of which are artificial intelligence technologies, and to disseminate the latest technologies for business development, as well as developing technical capabilities to develop automation for all judicial process to ensure the consolidation and achievement of prompt justice.
