IWA hosts healthy cookery contest

Indian Women’s Association (IWA), affiliated to Indian Cultural Centre under the aegis of the Indian Embassy, along with Aster Medical Centre, a division of Aster DM Healthcare, conducted a Cookery Contest and awarenesssession on ‘healthy food’ at Plaza Inn Hotel, Doha.
Dr Sameer Moopan M, Chief Executive Officer, Aster DM Healthcare inaugurated the event in the presence of IWA officials  Jotshna Dey, President, Renu Malhotra, Vice President, Latha Pathmanaban, Secretary, Rejil Jacob, Asst Manager of CRM at Aster and Padmakumar, Asst. Manager of Brand and Communications at Aster.
Seema Bulchandani, Prapti Randeria and Suparna Ghosh won prizes in vegetarian category and Afroz Shaikh, Mandeep Ahuja and Yogita Vispute in non-vegetarian category.
Dr Riaz Ahamed of Aster Medical Centre, Al Hilal addressed the gathering about ‘Gentle Reminder about Dental Hygiene’ and Dr Joy Ellen of Aster Medical Centre, C Ring Road, talked about the importance of ‘Eating healthy, a family affair’.
Dr. Sameer Moopen said: “Healthy family helps in the development of a healthy society. It is essential as a human being to provide ourselves with wholesome meal for long healthy life. In every family, women play a major role in provision of healthy food and life. Our aim in conducting this event was support women with ideas on healthy living and healthy eating habits for themselves and their family. I would like to thank Indian Women Association (IWA), for being a part of Aster in making the event a great success.”
