Qatar Exchange index gains 73.42 points this week

DOHA: Qatar Exchange index gained 73.42 points or 0.79 percent this week when the bourse closed Thursday afternoon at 9,372.17 points.
 
The trading value this week decreased by 24.67 percent when it reached QR 972,225,919.94 compared to QR 1,290,698,527.65 the previous week.
 
The trading volume of 19,542,989 shares is a decrease by 31.03 percent compared to 28,333,570 shares last week. 
 
The 12,377 transactions was a drop by 18.16 percent compared to 15,124 transactions last week.
 
The market capitalization rose by 0.63 percent when it reached QR 515,421,870,062.15 as compared to QR 512,210,389,556.49 at the end of previous week.
 
Banks and financial services led the traded value this week accounting for 42.82 percent of the total traded value. 
 
Industries accounted for 28.51 percent. Consumer Goods and Services accounted for 9.08 percent and real estate accounted 8.68 percent.
 
Banks and financial services sector led traded volume this week accounting for 32.63 percent of the total traded volume. 
 
Real Estate accounted for 19.40 percent. Industries accounted for 15.92 percent and transportation accounted for 13.85 percent.
 
Banks and financial services led the number of traded transactions this week with 33.44 percent of the total number of transactions. 
 
Industries accounted for 27.94 percent. Real Estate accounted for 12.18 percent and transportation accounted for 10.70 percent.
 
From the 42 listed companies 24 ended this week higher, 16 fell and two remained unchanged.
 
The Qatar National Bank led the traded value during this week with 24.49 percent of the total traded value. 
 
Industries Qatar accounted for 18.41 percent and Masraf Al Rayan accounted for 6.26 percent. (QNA)
