Devotees of Shiva, commonly known as Kanwariyas, gather to collect holy water at the banks of river Narmada at Hoshangabad in Madhya Pradesh yesterday. During the annual pilgrimage in the month of Sawan (July-August), Kanwariyas collect water from holy rivers and walk to their hometowns to offer it at temples to Shiva.
