The new-look branch is equipped with latest technology and facilities.
DOHA: Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) has opened a branch in Muaither in a new and improved location with better facilities.
The initiative is part of QIB’s strategy to expand its domestic network and ensure that a variety of customer needs are met through services that are provided closer to home.
The expansion scheme aims to cover vital locations in the country, reinforcing the bank’s geographical presence and enabling its customers to take advantage of the country’s economic prosperity wave. The new, redesigned Muaither branch aims to provide customers with a fresh banking experience without detaching from the values of the bank.
The open-plan design emphasises QIB values transparency. The branch features upgraded technology, which along with the new look and feel, reflects QIB’s identity as a progressive Islamic bank.
The branch is divided into three main sections — a main banking hall, where comprehensive services for all are efficiently and smoothly run; a dedicated Tamayuz centre to meet demands of affluent customers; and a special ladies section with a separate entrance where customers can bank in privacy.
Muaither has recently developed into a prime residential location, featuring an increasing number of urban development projects. It’s also near the Industrial Area, and at a crossroads connecting the north to the east and the central part of Qatar.
D Anand, General Manager of the Personal Banking group, said: “The Muaither branch has been relocated to a larger site to offer a more convenient service to all our customers in the area and around. It is part of QIB’s strategy to constantly improve our offer and provide a ‘whole new way of banking’ experience for our customers.
“The new branch also allows customers to benefit from Shariah-compliant banking and financial services such as the opening of accounts, deposits, transfer of funds, card services, investments, ATM deposits and withdrawals, cheque deposits, and other Islamic financing activities.”
The branch is open from 7.30am to 1.30pm (from 9am to 2pm and 9pm to 11.30pm during Ramadan). The Peninsula
