Doha, Qatar: Qatar Chamber (QC) hosted a delegation from the UAE’s AIM Congress Organising Committee yesterday. The meeting was held in the presence of QC Board Member Eng. Ali bin Abdullatif Al Misned; Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the State of Qatar, H E Saeed Abdullah Al Qamzi; and Chairman of the AIM Congress Organising Committee, Dawood Al Shezawi.
The meeting was also attended by QC Board Member Abdulrahman bin Abduljaleel Al Abdulghani; QC Acting General Manager Ali Bu Sherbak Al Mansori; representatives of several Qatari entities, including the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA), Invest Qatar, Qatar Financial Centre (QFC), Qatar Free Zones Authority (QFZ), and Manateq (Economic Zones Company), as well as a number of business leaders from both countries.
In his remarks, Eng. Al Misned praised the strong fraternal and economic relations between Qatar and the UAE, noting that bilateral trade between exceeded QR30bn last year, compared to QR28bn in 2024, in addition to mutual investments across diverse sectors.
He stressed that the AIM Congress has become a vital global platform for investment dialogue.
It plays an important role in fostering dialogue on the future of investment, showcasing promising opportunities, and exchanging expertise and best practices, thereby supporting sustainable economic development and strengthening international partnerships.
Eng. Al Misned expressed Qatar Chamber’s and the Qatari private sector’s aspiration to participate in this year’s edition of the Congress, noting that its focus on green energy, sustainable development, digital transformation, AI, entrepreneurship, and innovation makes it an important platform for addressing issues shaping the future of the global economy.
He further emphasised the Chamber’s commitment to participating in international economic events, given their importance in enhancing communication among business communities, exploring new avenues for cooperation and investment, and building strategic partnerships between the Qatari private sector and its global counterparts.
For his part, Dawood Al Shezawi, Chairman of the AIM Congress Organising Committee, invited Qatar Chamber and the Qatari private sector to participate in the upcoming AIM Congress, taking place September 7–9 at the Dubai World Trade Centre under the theme: “Reshaping Global Prosperity: Unlocking New Investment Pathways Towards a Sustainable and Inclusive Future.”
He further invited all relevant entities to participate in the Congress and benefit from the opportunities it offers to promote Qatar’s investment potential and explore cooperation and partnership opportunities with investors and business leaders from around the world.
