Soldiers hand in old firearms to receive new Remington M4 assault rifles during a distribution ceremony inside the Fort Magsaysay military base in the province of Nueva Ecija, yesterday. The acquisition of 27,300 rifles will contribute to the development and transformation of the armed forces into a multi-mission-oriented force capable of effectively addressing internal and external threats.
