Amman: Qatar’s U-15 fencing team won the gold medal after a convincing 36-22 victory over hosts Jordan at the Arab Championship 2016 in Amman, Jordan on Friday.
The Qatari team booked their place in the final stage, following a comfortable 36-19 victory over United Arab Emirates in the semi-finals, according to Qatar Olympic Committee.
Qatar’s fencing delegation to the Arab Championship 2016 consists of Zamil Khleiwi Al Shamari (Head of delegation), Yahaya Qassim (Administrator), Ziyad Al Firyyan (technical expert), Hosham Krshod (senior coach) beside the fencers.
