A Bentley Mulsanne, which was reportedly stolen from London, was recovered during a raid in Pakistan's city of Karachi, according to media reports.
As per media reports, the Collectorate of Customs Enforcement in Karachi conducted the raid after receiving information from the United Kingdom National Crime Agency. The tip-off from the British officials conveyed to the authorities in Karachi that a stolen Bentley Mulsanne was kept in a house situated in the DHA area of the city. Notably, DHA is a posh residential area in Karachi.
The Pakistani media stated that people, who were involved in the theft of the luxury car, failed to switch off or remove the tracker installed in the Bentley Mulsanne. It helped UK officials to figure out the exact location where the stolen car was kept.

When Pakistani officials raided the house, they found the Bentley with a number plate with a Pakistani registration number. However, when the officials inspected further, they discovered that the chassis number of the recovered car matched the details of the stolen Bentley provided by the British authorities. Subsequently, the local officials confirmed that the vehicle's registration was forged.
According to media reports, the owner of the house could not furnish the documents to prove that the car belonged to him, after which the Pakistani officials seized the luxury vehicle. Besides, the owner of the house and the broker from whom he purchased the car have also been arrested.
A PTI report also revealed that the people involved in the racket used documents of a top diplomat from an east European country to import the car.
Meanwhile, customs officials have filed an FIR against the people involved in the theft. The FIR stated that the accused evaded over 300 million Pakistani Rupees by smuggling the stolen luxury car.
