Paris: In the presence of H E Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani Arqana’s horse sale was held yesterday at Arqana Hall in the French capital as part of the Qatar Equestrian International Festival, organised by the Racing and Equestrian Club (REC) in cooperation with France Galop.
The auction was also attended by the Chairman of Racing and Equestrian Club H E Sheikh Mohammed bin Faleh Al Thani, REC Director Sami Jassim Albuainain, REC Deputy Director Tariq Siddiqi in addition to a number of Qatari horse owners who are in Paris to participate in this great festival. Approximately 100 head of horses were displayed at the sale.
A draw for the l’Arc de Triomphe race and Qatar International Arabian Horse Championship will be held today. Officials from France Galop, REC President and Director will participate in the event. Marion Bartoli, who won this year’s women’s singles Wimbledon Championship, will carry out the draw for the race.
