Kashmiri Shia Muslims take part in a religious procession held on the ninth day of the Islamic month of Muharram, in Srinagar, yesterday. Muharram, the first month of the Islamic calendar, is observed around the world for 10 days of mourning in remembrance of the martyrdom of Imam Husain, the grandson of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
