Over 70 companies to take part in QMED 2015

DOHA: Qatar International Medical Devices & Healthcare Exhibition and Conference (QMED), the premium Medical and Healthcare Exhibition in Qatar, will be launched from 2-4 December 2015 at the new Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC) in West Bay, hosting more than 70 exhibitors and 12 countries for three days.
The event will provide a specialised and integrated platform to boost the communication among the local, regional and international players and highlight the latest trends and newest developments in and for the Qatari healthcare sector.
The exhibition, held in an area of more than 5,000 m2, will coincide with organising the first international Sports Medicine Conference in Qatar hosted by Aspetar, namely the QSportsMed Conference. This Conference will attract specialised international and local speakers in the sports medicine sector which is a very important part of the future of Qatar.
More than 1,000 doctors, healthcare professionals and medical experts are expected to visit the exhibition to be part of the latest innovations, technologies, services and solutions.
Shabrawy Khater, Media Manager of the exhibition, said: “QMED attracts a number of VIP’s and leading names in the Qatari healthcare sector which emphasises on its foremost role as an ideal communicative platform to enhance the communication among those concerned with healthcare in Qatar. The event is also widely welcomed by experts, suppliers and those specialised in health sector worldwide who are attending to discuss the latest developments, visions and trends prevailing in healthcare market as well as highlighting the latest technical innovations and best practices which aim at developing the level of healthcare services.”
The event will be undoubtedly a platform to support the development of the Qatari healthcare sector in the frame of the relentless efforts by the Qatari Government to improve the quality of health services in Qatar, he said.
The first edition of QMED has been able to attract a distinctive number of participants worldwide such as the United States of America, United Kingdom, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, China, Turkey and India. There will be two large national pavilions from both Turkey and China where the very best of these countries in the medical and healthcare sector will participate.
QMED is held under the patronage of the Qatar Supreme Council of Health and supported by the Qatar Tourism Authority, Qatar Diabetes Association, Qatar Red Crescent Society and the Qatar Chamber of Commerce.
