DOHA: The traffic authorities have warned automotive accessories shops not to deck up cars with stickers, posters and banners on the occasion of the National Day.
In a notification addressed to accessory shops, the Traffic Department has said putting stickers, banners and posters on window pans and bodies of vehicles is illegal.
Action will be taken against those, including shops and motorists, who are found violating the rule, says the notification.
Decking up a car with stickers, banners and posters can make driving risky and pose difficulties for traffic policemen in identifying the type of a vehicle and see who is behind the steering wheel.
The notification signed by the head of the Traffic Department threatens legal action against those found violating the rules.
