DOHA: The civic ministry plans to build multi-storey car parking facilities in the towers area of West Bay to solve parking woes.
Around 3,000 cars could be accommodated in the proposed parking lots, local Arabic daily Al Arab reported yesterday.
The open spaces between the towers could be developed to build the car parking lots for public, Ali Al Shamalan, Director of Planning at the Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning, said.
He added that a study conducted by the ministry suggests that it is feasible to build multi-storey car parking slots in the area that is dotted with skyscrapers.
