DOHA: Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) is finalising a schedule of activities for the Qatar National Day week, from December 15 to 19.
All the festivities are being organised in collaboration with the National Day Organising Committee, which is the Platinum Sponsor for the day. All those arriving in Qatar at the border posts and Doha International Airport will receive a traditional Qatari welcome.
Hotels have been invited to fly the Qatari flag at their premises and distribute the flags to tourists. Hotel staff will wear traditional Qatari dress or Qatar National Day pins for the occasion, and female staff will wear Thoab Al Nashel. White and burgundy balloons will also be displayed at entrances and reception areas and traditional Qatari food will be put on the main course menus for the day.
The Abu Samra border post will be decorated with patriotic motifs and volunteers will distribute Qatari flags and promotional items to those entering Qatar.
