Forum on education for people with special needs

DOHA: The Middle East International Special Needs Education Conference (MISNEC  2015) will be held on March 24- 26 under the patronage of the Supreme Education Council.
The regional event with an international perspective aims to empower people with special needs. It also aims to secure a positive position towards the development of the future of special needs education, with the concept of making high school inclusion meaningful.
Naseem Shiekh, Conference Consultant and Director, said  the forum aims to play a key role in the advancement of professionalism of special educators, academicians, researchers, policymakers and others who provide students with special needs with educational assistance at all levels, including higher education.
Mona Al Mulla, Chairperson, Al Tamakon School, said, “The conference will promote teaching strategies by improving learning, formed on global research-based practices for special needs education and shape innovative strategies to support the upcoming generation to become effective contributors.
The conference comes at a time when Qatar has been nurturing special needs education through out the years while striving to achieve best standards in the region. The forum will feature topics, including tech application for better results; research highlights; making high school inclusion meaningful; and parental role in special needs education, among others. The Peninsula
