DOHA: Ooredoo yesterday announced the launch of Hala Egypt Key, offering customers the lowest rate of 30 dirhams per minute for calls to Egypt.
Egypt Key customers will also be able to call Ooredoo numbers in Qatar at 10 dirhams per minute.
The key has been developed after strong demand from the Egyptian community in Qatar and businesses looking to connect to partners in the country.
Previously, customers wishing to call Egypt could subscribe to Hala International Saver Key and make calls to Egypt for QR0.45 per minute and QR0.45 per SMS.
With the latest key, customers can save 15 dirhams per minute.
Customers wishing to subscribe to service can activate the key for QR2 per week by sending SMS ‘EGY’ to 121. The subscription will automatically renew every week, so that customers can continue to enjoy benefits of international calling rates. To cancel the service, they can SMS ‘STOP EGY’ to 121.
The key, available for one month, has been launched to help the expatriate community talk more for less as they stay connected with friends and family in the region. It uses Ooredoo’s bigger, faster network to ensure that customers can stay connected for less.
Customers can also enjoy similar international saving options with keys for India and Bangladesh, along with International Saver Key for 121 countries.
