MUSCAT: Oman is set to host a transparency conference in the end of January.
The two-day conference, themed "disclosure and transparency" in capital markets, is organized by Oman Capital Market Authority.
An official source of the authority told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on Saturday that the conference would group executives and managers of the public, private sectors, investment funds and companies.
It is aimed at enhancing awareness of necessity of revelation and transparency in the finance markets, examining experiences in this sector in shadow of globalization and necessary legislations for the field, the official source told KUNA.
Transparency and regulated disclosure of finances are fundamental to enhance investor's confidence in these markets. (QNA)
