Doha - The organizing committee of the 24th Men's Handball World Championship (Qatar 2015), which due to kick off in Doha from 15 January to 1 February, is well-prepared to deliver a successful event at all levels and is making every effort to make Qatar 2015 tournament a model for organizing major tournaments.
This was stated by Qatar 2015 Organizing Committee's Director General Dr Thani Abdulrahman Al Kuwari who held a press conference today to brief on the committee's preparation just a few days before the tournament.
Qatar 2015 Organizing Committee's Director General said that the committee is now working to finalize Qatar's preparation and readiness for the unprecedented organization of the Men's Handball World Championship.
The Qatar 2015 Director General added that the preparation has been underway since Qatar's winning the right of organizing Qatar 2015, adding that HE Chairman of the Qatar 2015 Organizing Committee Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani has been closely following up the preparations.
Regarding the venue of the Qatar 2015's opening ceremony, Director General of Qatar 2015 Dr Al Kuwari said the organizing committee in coordination with the sponsor of the opening ceremony held several matches in the new Lusail Hall to test readiness of hosting the event there.
Dr Thani Al Kuwari said that Duhail and Al Sadd Halls were also ready and many sporting events had already been held to test them.
