Doha: The Peninsula’s Advertising Department celebrated on Monday the success of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and its achievements during the year.
During a reception organised at the newspaper's office, Editor-in-Chief Dr. Khalid Mubarak Al-Shafi commended The Peninsula’s Advertisement Department staff for their efforts and contributions during the World Cup, which made the newspaper’s publishing successful.
The Editor-in-Chief stressed the importance of continued excellence and distinguished performance of the staff who played a vital role in contributing to the international event such as the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and other major sporting events.
The event was also attended by the Managing Editor of The Peninsula Mohammed Osman Ali, Advertising Manager of Dar Al Sharq Group Jassem Salman, and Assistant Advertising Manager Sushil Menon along with members of the Advertising Department.

The Advertising Manager of Dar Al Sharq Group Jassem Salman extended his thanks to the Editor-in-Chief for his continuous support throughout the year and in particular during the World Cup Qatar 2022, which helped in close coordination with the department and bringing out various supplements. He stressed the importance of these supplements for the readers of the daily, expressing his appreciation for the Editor-in-Chief and the advertising staff.
He said he looks forward to further cooperation in coming years. He also thanked the clients for advertising with the daily and their support during the mega event.
