Amsterdam: Snowfall Monday snarled air, rail, and road traffic across the Netherlands, leading to the cancellation of hundreds of flights and the suspension of all trains around Amsterdam.

Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, one of Europe's busiest hubs, cancelled nearly 500 flights today, adding to the flights previously cancelled since Friday due to snow and frost.

The heavy snowfall, covering large parts of the Netherlands, also paralyzed ground transportation. Trains in the Amsterdam region were not operating, and public transport was severely affected in multiple locations across the country.

Icy roads and snow accumulation caused numerous delays and traffic accidents, while authorities advised residents to stay home whenever possible.

The snow is expected to continue across the Netherlands throughout the week.
