DOHA: HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani visited Tuesday the "Tea With Nefertiti" exhibition, currently held in the Arab Museum of Modern Art.
HH the Emir listened to what the organizers of the exhibition had to say about as well as what they had to say on the artworks of the leaders of modern world in the Arab World.
HH the Emir also viewed a number of Pharaonic, Coptic, Islamic and Orientalist art pieces during his visit.
"Tea with Nefertiti" explores how an artwork can acquire numerous meanings and functions that can embody a number of diverse narratives. It departs from an excavation of the contested histories by which Egyptian collections have been amassed in international museums from the 19th century onwards. (QNA)
