Ashghal in deal with SEC for scholarships

Ashghal and SEC officials after signing the MoU.

DOHA: The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) yesterday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Supreme Education Council (SEC) on educational scholarships.
The deal aims to promote co-operation in setting up scholarships and opening new horizons for learning and qualification of technical staff capable of achieving Qatar Vision 2030. The collaboration will provide an opportunity for Ashghal employees to get university degrees in accordance with the scholarship law. Nasser bin Ali Al Mawlawi, President, Ashghal, signed the deal with Dr Khaled Al Hor, Director, Higher Education Institute.
“There is a continuous partnership between Ashghal and SEC on many levels, and the agreement represents one of the most important aspects of co-operation as it is related to human development, one of the key pillars of Qatar National Vision 2030,” said Al Mawlawi
SEC will outline the scholarship programme and both sides will exchange expertise to provide academic guidance for employees wishing to apply for it.
The signing ceremony was attended by Meshal Al Hitmi, Director, Shared Services Affairs,  Rashed Al Hajri, Assistant Manager, Human Resources Department, and Mohamed Mubarak Al Qahtani, Head,  Training Section. Ali Al Bouainein, Manager, Scholarship Office, represented the institute.
