Doha: Texas A&M University at Qatar (TAMUQ) participated in the inaugural Education City Career Fair at Hamad bin Khalifa University Student Centre.
The event aimed to foster connections between industry recruiters and students from across Education City by providing students with a chance to interact with companies, collect information, inquire about positions and apply for internships, sponsorships and full-time employment opportunities. Over 90 companies participated, representing diverse job fields such as media, finance and research.
Dr Todd Kent, Assistant Dean,  Academic and Student Services, TAMUQ, said, “The fair was a joint effort by Hamad Bin Khalifa University, TAMUQ and Education City branch campuses — Georgetown University School of Foreign Service in Qatar, Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar, Virginia Commonwealth University in Qatar and Northwestern University in Qatar. The fair was an opportunity for our students to meet a broad base of potential employers. TAMUQ will graduate more than 90 engineers this year and we look forward to them contributing to Qatar’s future growth and economic development.”
