The 17th harvest of vegetables from Bhavan’s Public School Vegetable Garden, Season 9 took place recently at Matar Qadeem Campus. The Vice Principal Prabavathi Nambiar inaugurated the harvest. The others present were Anjana Menon, Director, Administration, BHPS, Asha Shiju, Academic coordinator, teachers, gardener Mustafah and the Eco Club student members. The vegetable garden, season-9 is the continuity of the first vegetable garden –season-1 for which the school was awarded a “Green Star” on the ECO School Project Contest organised by Doha Bank-Green Banking along with the Unesco. Vegetables like cabbage, pumpkin, brinjal, tomatoes, ladies finger, bittergourd, beans and chillies were plucked from the garden. Mustafa, the gardener helped the students in plucking the vegetables.
