Doha: The 32nd meeting of the Arab League’s Permanent Arab Committee for Information and Communication Technology is being hosted in Qatar through the Supreme Council of Information Communication Technology (ictQatar) today and tomorrow.
The outcome of the talks will be referred to the 33rd meeting of the Executive Office of the Arab Ministers of Information and Communication Technology, which will be held in Doha on Thursday.
The meetings of the Permanent Committee will address key areas related to ICT, including the outcome of meetings of task forces affiliated to the Arab Committee, activities of the Regional Arab Office of the International Telecommunication Union, activities of the Arab Information and Communication Technology Organisation and the Arab Regulators’ Network, and the Arab Dialogue on Internet Governance Initiative.
Other topics include the Arabic Top-level Domains, Arab Internet Network Linkage Project and channels of Arab cooperation in ICT.

Finland Prime Minister leaves
Doha: The Prime Minister of Finland left here yesterday wrapping up an official visit.
Jyrki Katainen and his delegation were seen off at Doha International Airport by the Chief of the Prime Minister’s Protocols Ahmed Jassim Al Mullah and Qatar’s Non-resident Ambassador to Finland Ahmed Saif Al Ma’adhadi.
