Mideast markets up, QE index dips

Doha: Qatar Exchange ended in the red area yesterday when trading closed at 11,588.24 points,  down 75.78 points, or 0.65 percent, from the previous closing of 11,664.02 points on Monday.

Among the top losers were Qatar Insurance, whose share down 1.22 percent to QR65, Doha Bank lost 9.10 percent to QR60.90, Vodafone Qatar fell 0.99 percent to QR12.05 and Ooredoo down by 1.15 percent to QR146.70.
Most regional markets bounced back yesterday with Saudi Arabia’s measure up 1.4 percent in its biggest one-day gain in more than four months. 
Dubai’s bourse was volatile but closed up 0.4 percent, while Abu Dhabi recovered 1.3 percent. 
In Cairo, the bourse rose one percent.Agencies
