Doha: International Bank of Qatar (ibq) has sponsored Qatari Businesswomen Association’s (QBWA) second annual Mentoring Walk on March 7.
Part of a global initiative, the ‘Walk and Talk’ brings together women leaders and rising stars for a two-hour walk around Aspire Park to discuss professional challenges and successes and establish a mentoring relationship.
Jabra Ghandour, Managing Director, ibq said: “In line with our CSR programme supporting sports and educational initiatives, ibq endorses the goals behind the walk, as it links mentoring young women to leaders through healthy exercise. We recognise women’s growing interest in financial literacy and support them through educational and business-focused initiatives as part of our community programme.”
Aisha Alfardan, Vice-Chairman, QBWA, said: “The initiative is one of 75 walks taking place simultaneously in 53 countries.”
