DOHA: Qatar Diabetes Association is holding the fourth Al Tahadi camp for diabetic adolescents from April 13 to 17 at Barzan Youth Centre.
It aim to educate teenagers on diabetes type 1, and help them understand the importance of controlling their blood sugar levels to have a normal life.
The programme includes health, physical, educational and as entertaining activities as well as workshops, and religious and personality development activities. The camp will be managed and supervised by a team of trainers, health educators and dietitians.
For the first time, the camp will include participants from other GCC countries.
There are plans to take the camp into the next level in the future by hosting participants from the region and later from around the world.
