Doha: Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani yesterday sent a cable of congratulations to Senegal President Macky Sall on his country’s Independence Day.
Deputy Emir H H Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani sent a similar cable to Sall.
Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani also sent a cable of congratulations to Sall.
Qatar-Moldova ties reviewed
Chisinau: Moldova’s Minister of Justice Vladimir Grosu yesterday met Qatari Ambassador Mohammed Ali Al Maliki and reviewed ways of enhancing relations between both countries.
DOHA: Al Shamal Municipality has announced partial closure of slaughtering in a poultry farm for 30 days. The slaughtering facility was found operating in unhygienic conditions, said the municipality on its website. The name of farm is provided on the website, said officials.
DOHA: The Agriculture Quarantine Office has seized 5,424 shipments totalling 79,000 tonnes items for violating the Agriculture Quarantine Law and destroyed 39 infected shipments which were supposed to be quarantined. It also seized 83 shipments weighing 729 tonnes being exported in violation of the law.
