KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement candidate Kanwar Naveed Jamil claimed that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) knows it cannot win the NA-246 seat in by-elections.

Addressing a press conference here Saturday, Kanwar Naveed said MQM candidates have always won NA-246 seat with a majority and that PTI is aware of it.

Flanked by MQM leaders Wasim Akhtar and Senator Khushbakht Shujaat, Kanwar Naveed alleged that Imran Khan’s party is supported by the establishment from day one.

He went on to say that Altaf Hussain welcomed PTI when the seat fell vacant, however, Khan’s party adopted an aggressive attitude right from the beginning as it wanted to conquer Karachi.

The MQM leader further said Imran Ismail, instead of visiting the voters, entered Jinnah Ground with miscreants, who desecrated the martyrs memorial and used foul language against Altaf Hussain.

Mr Naveed added that every party has its office in NA-246 stressing that they have not stopped anyone from opening their office here.
