Doha: Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage H E Dr Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al Kuwari and Chinese Minister of Culture Luo Shugang have signed the announcement of Qatar-China Cultural Year 2016 in Beijing.
Dr Al Kuwari, who is on a visit to China, also held talks with Luo on ways of enhancing cultural relations between both countries.
The signing ceremony and talks were attended by Qatari Charge d’Affaires Abdullah Saif Al Khayreen.
Dr Al Kuwari also visited Chinese National Museum and Palace of the Forbidden City in Beijing and praised China’s rich culture and the depth of historical relations between the Arabs and the Chinese.
He stressed that 2016 will see many events within the framework of excellent and historical bilateral relations. QNA
