DOHA: The Ministry of Economy and Commerce has ordered United Cars Almana, a leading automobile dealer, to recall Dodge Durango and Jeep Grand Cherokee models from 2011 to 2014 due to manufacturing defects related to electrical connections.
The recall has been ordered so that the faults in the said models of cars can be fixed, said a statement yesterday.
The Ministry said the recall decision was part of its efforts to ensure that all vehicles on the roads are safe, and was also aimed at protecting consumer rights.
The Ministry said it would follow up the issue closely and keep in touch with the customers to make sure that the defective cars are recalled and repaired.
