Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, represented by the Department of Da’wah and Religious Guidance, has announced the launch of 14 new Quran recitation classes at a number of Quran learning centres across the country, as part of its ongoing efforts to promote the teaching of the Holy Quran and foster a culture of proper recitation.

The ministry stated that the initiative aligns with its strategic plans to expand Quranic programmes and provide wider access for various segments of society to enrol in structured Quran recitation and Tajweed classes, delivered through a well-established scientific methodology and supervised by a distinguished group of qualified instructors.

According to the Department of Da’wah and Religious Guidance, the classes will be held four days a week, from Sunday to Wednesday, between Maghrib and Isha prayers, providing flexibility for participants and encouraging consistent attendance.

Registration is available directly at the centres during class hours.

The ministry encouraged those interested in joining the Quran recitation classes to enrol promptly or contact the dedicated hotline at 16577 for further information on registration procedures.

The Ministry emphasised that the launch of these classes reflects a comprehensive vision to strengthen the role of the Holy Quran in the lives of individuals and society, promote Islamic values, and nurture a generation proficient in Quran recitation.

It also reaffirmed its commitment to expanding such initiatives both qualitatively and geographically, in response to growing demand and in line with the state’s support for impactful religious and educational programmes.
