DOHA: A 26-seater bus will be soon available to transport patients requiring kidney dialysis at Al Khor Hospital. The new bus, which will be provided free and patients in Doha will be able to access the dialysis facilities at Al Khor.
The bus was donated to Hamad Medical Corporation on Monday by Occidental Petroleum of Qatar Ltd (Oxy Qatar) as part of their ongoing collaboration.
Also many car safety seats will be given to the families of babies born at Women’s Hospital. The convertible car safety seats will be distributed to the families of babies born at Women’s Hospital in the coming months. Experts recommend that all infants and toddlers ride in a rear-facing car seat in the back seat — until they are at least two years old.
The two donations — of car seats and the bus — are part of a long running Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) partnership between Oxy Qatar and HMC.
Chief of Communications and Chief of Staff to the Managing Director at HMC, Mohammed Al Noimi said the partnership between the Corporation and Oxy Qatar resulted in real benefits to patients and their families.
