Cairo: Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi discussed the current situation in Libya in a telephone call with the Head of the Presidential Council of the State of Libya Muhammad Menfi.
The official Spokesman of the Egyptian Presidency said that during the telephone call held by the Head of the Libyan Presidential Council with the Egyptian President Monday night, there was consensus on the need to resolve the Libyan crisis through the Libyans themselves, stressing that holding elections is the only way to resolve the current situation.
The Spokesman pointed out that the Egyptian President said that his country has not and will not spare any effort in supporting Libya to achieve national reconciliation and reunification.
The Spokesman pointed out that the Head of the Libyan Presidential Council appreciated the Egyptian efforts in supporting Libya, especially by contributing to the restoration of national institutions, the unification of the Libyan National Army, as well as the vital role of transferring the Egyptian developmental experience to Libya.
