Warsaw: The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and President of the friendly Republic of Poland HE Andrzej Duda held an official session of talks at the Presidential Palace, in Warsaw, on Friday.
At the outset of the session, HE the President welcomed HH the Amir and the accompanying delegation, hailing the ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
His Excellency noted this visit which reflects the depth of outstanding relationships between the two countries, affirming that he looks forward to joint efforts to push them to broader levels in wide-ranging fields. His Excellency also lauded the State of Qatar's diplomatic and humanitarian efforts, especially in Gaza and Ukraine.
For his part, HH the Amir expressed his appreciation for HE the President for the warm reception during this visit, which represents an opportunity to discuss issues of shared interest and avenues for supporting bilateral and strategic relationships between the two countries in a range of areas.
During the session, they discussed bilateral relations and prospects of strengthening them to serve the shared strategic interests and lend impetus to bilateral relations to broader levels, particularly in the areas of energy, technology, education, and defense.
They also discussed a range of issues in the region and the current developments, including the developments in the Gaza Strip and the Occupied Palestinian Territories.
Attending the session were Chief of the Amiri Diwan HE Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Minister of State for Energy Affairs HE Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi, Minister of Commerce and Industry HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al Thani, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs HE Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi, alongside a number of Their Excellencies members of the official delegation.
On the Polish side, the session was attended by Chief of the Chancellery of the President HE Malgorzata Paprocka, Head of the Cabinet of the President of the Republic HE Marcin Mastalerek, Head of the International Policy Bureau HE Mieszko Pawlak, Special Envoy of the President for the Development of
International Trade Cooperation and Polish Investments Abroad HE Ambassador Rafal Kos, alongside high-ranking officials in the Polish government.
HH the Amir and HE the Polish President held a bilateral meeting during which they discussed avenues of cooperation between the two friendly countries, in addition to discussing a range of issues of mutual interest.
HE the Polish President held an official luncheon banquet in honor of His Highness and the accompanying delegation at the Presidential Palace.
HH the Amir was previously accorded an official reception ceremony upon his arrival at the Palace.
HH the Amir and HE the Polish President shook the hands of Their Excellencies members of the diplomatic corps in the Republic of Poland.
