DOHA: Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation’s (Kahramaa) tanker filling stations in Sailiya and Umm Salal are open 24 hours during Ramadan to reduce long queue of tankers due to the rising demand for water in all sectors across the city.
Demand for water has gone up in view of increasing population, industrial expansion and infrastructure projects.
Kahramaa helped Civil Defence with 500 tankers from its Sailiya station in its fire-fighting operation at Industrial Area where two warehouses were gutted by fire. It has asked its industrial and corporate customers to apply for temporary water connections at construction sites to avoid any hassles.
