Doha: Al Shaqab’s Hassan Al Naimi astride Fleur de Suleiman and Atta Mohammad on Aab de Magro, achieved a double success as they qualified for the next month’s FEI World Endurance Championships in Slovakia after winning the 160 km endurance race last week in Pisa, Italy
The event which will be held from September 15 to 17 will see top entries from around the world.
Jassim Mohammed Al Maadhadi, Manager of Al Shaqab’s Endurance Team stated: ”Although we have competed in only 4 competitions since the start of our training in early July, 6 out of 10 members of the team members have qualified for the World Championships. This notable achievement would not have been possible without the support of our Executive Director, Mr. Khalifa bin Mohammed Al-Attiyah, who supported the team in all stages of preparation”
“The qualifying stage was challenging due to the lack of preparation time, but with the solidarity and collaboration of all team members of trainers and riders, the team have lived up to expectations. But now, the most important phase of the training begins as the team prepares for the World Championships and strives towards bringing greater honours for Qatar,” he added.
