Doha: Al Ahli have announced that young midfielder Ali Qadri has signed a two-year extension with the club.
In an official announcement yesterday on the club’s website, they announced that the Qatari international had put pen to paper on the deal earlier in the day.
Qadri has been with Ahli since 2012, and has been developing at the club. The Ahli board noted that the signing of Qadri represented the clubs policy of keeping the best youth talent at the club.
In other news, the Ahli side trained on Wednesday evening, under the watchful eye of new head coach Luka Bonacic. The Brigadeers are set to head to their external training camp in Holland from the August 7 till August 22.
Meanwhile, Al Sadd are set to resume training after the squad had been given four days rest following their training camp in Kaprum, Austria.
Jesaldo Ferriera will be without a host of players, who have left the squad to partake in the Qatar national teams training camp.
Meanwhile the team will train in preparation for the start of the Qatar Stars League, which is set to kick off on September 15.
