Port Sudan: The Sudanese government said that hundreds of thousands of foreign mercenaries are involved in the aggression against the country.
On Monday, the Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the government of Sudan wishes to draw the region and the international community's attention to the scale of the conspiracy being carried out against Sudan by the Rapid Support Forces militia and the mercenary forces fighting alongside them.
The statement added that the Sudanese government has continuously pointed to the involvement of hundreds of thousands of mercenaries from neighboring countries and from countries outside of Africa in the assault on Sudan, a phenomenon that threatens peace and security in the region as a whole.
It noted that the involvement of foreign mercenaries presents a new reality that threatens state sovereignty and renders the war a cross-border terrorist conflict.
The Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs also indicated that Sudan's permanent mission in New York has submitted to the United Nations Security Council documents proving these allegations, adding that this phenomenon has been documented by regional and international organizations as well as investigative media reports.
