Doha: Looking for ways to help the Afghan refugees in Qatar? You can either donate items needed by them or volunteer your time to collecting and sorting items as part of the activities run by Qatar Foundation for the Afghan refugees.
On Instagram Vice Chairperson and CEO of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development HE Sheikha Hind bint Hamad Al-Thani posted a list of items that people can donate.
“Let’s show the Afghans that they are welcome, that they have a home here, and that we care,” she added with the post.

Jeans/Trousers - Male (sizes 28 -38), Female and Children (11-16 years)
Shorts - Male and Children (11-16 years)

You can drop off the donation at the Black Box Theatre in Multaqa in Education City any time between 10am and 5pm daily (including weekends).
Upon entry, have your Ehteraz ready and ask for directions to the Refugee Donation Drive or the Black Box Theatre.
“If you would like to volunteer to help the QF Donation Drive by collecting and sorting items, please sign up at the link (https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/QFVolunteerSupport),” Sheikha Hind said in the post.
In the form you can select the kind of activities from the three available volunteering options: At the compound helping out on activities, sorting out donations and delivering donations.
You can select more than one option and also indicate the available date.
“We are currently looking for volunteers to support activities we are running for the Afghan refugees here in Qatar - please fill out the below survey if you are able to volunteer and we will contact you with proposed slots. Please note you will need to complete a short training to participate,” QF Volunteer Support said in the form posted online.
