Doha: Qatar’s ace rallyist Nasser Saleh Al Attiyah finished second on the day 2 of the 43rd Lebanon International Rally - the third round of the 2021 season of Middle East Rally Championship (MERC) yesterday.

Al Attiyah, who holds a record 16 MERC titles, had topped the Super Special Stage on the opening day on Friday. 

The Lebanon International Rally concludes today. Al Attiyah is competing with his French navigator Matthieu Baumel in a Volkswagen Polo GTI R5 car and looking to maintain lead in the overall rankings of the championship.

Meanwhile, Qatar’s Nasser bin Khalifa Al Attiyah achieved third place in the R5 class in the exhibition stage. Qatari navigator Nasser Saadoun Al Kuwari with Kuwaiti driver Mashari Al Dhafiri finished 4th in MERC2 in Super Special Stage in a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 10.
